Breeding season is just about wrapped up here at Ozark Jewels Dairy and Meat Goats. Kidding season starts the 1st week of January, 2010.
I am taking reservations for Nubian kids, Lamancha kids, Boer kids, and a few Grade kids. I do not ask for down payments, just let me know what you are interested in, and I will put you on the list. I do make package deals on three or more full-priced kids. No package deals on bottle wethers.
I have just updated my breedings page on my site, and prices and due dates can be found there.

The dairy Grades are not listed on my site. The Grade does belong to friends of mine, I am wintering over their two does this year. Any kids they have may be available for slightly cheaper than my Purebred kids. The wethers will be $15, the doelings will be $80-$100 with ADGA applications. Dams are good milkers, one is Alpine/Nubian(bred to my Copper-Hill Little Buddy), the other is Lamancha/Alpine/Nubian(bred to my Amberwood Eclipse Of The Moon).
Wishing everyone a happy kidding season!! _________________ Emily Dixon

I've always enjoyed your website Emily. So many pictures to look at and so much good content.

Ugh! Don't remind me! I have one doe due Jan. 25th (Brandy) and the rest are all in March/April. I have 2 does in heat right now that I need to get bred and are in heat today. And one doe in with the buck who I HOPE got bred? I am not sure I have to watch her like a hawk.
All my does seem like they are cycling really late this year. This is the first time in months I have been able to catch them in heat and SEE they are in heat. Very weird season this year.

It was the opposite at my place this year. I noticed my does cycling EARLY this year....I wasn't ready for it all. Breeding season means FALL to me, and it was still August.

I try my best to get most of my mature does to breed in August. This year I have 19 does who bred in August=19 does to kid in January.. _________________ Emily Dixon

Yeah, I know....but I am not organized enough to have babies on the ground in ICE STORM season.
