Hello everyone.
I raise Nubians and their long ears are constantly getting frost bite. I purchased a couple of "heated water buckets" a couple of years back from Hoegger's; yet they didn't last long; and at $30 per bucket, I was hoping for something that would last longer than a year.
Can anyone in here suggest some kind of heating that would keep the water from freezing and their ears out of the water? _________________ I am what I am! Acknowledging this is the beginning; and my growth is yet to end. |

We use either a big tank and just chop ice or let the water overflow just a wee bit and the automatic waterer if the weather gets below freezing for long periods of time...like now.
I have Lamanchas, so only have to worry about the occasional wet beard.
Would oil or Vaseline help?
